Training & Behaviour Modification Programs
Not all dog training is the same, and it’s not one size fits all either. Our programs are designed to fit in with your needs and requirements.
In contrast to traditional group classes, our focus is solely on you and your dog. This means we move at your pace and target the skills and behaviors that are important to you. Private lessons are conducted on a one-on-one basis with an experienced canine professional, which provides for an optimal learning environment.

- All of our programs are designed to address not just obedience commands but to correct behavior issues as well: things like barking, jumping, and pulling / lunging and anxiety.
*This is an important distinction to be aware of; obedience and good behavior goes hand in hand !
- All programs do NOT use treats in the training process and “Stays” (aka Step- aways) are designed to be held for minutes NOT seconds under distraction.
- Build a solid foundation for your relationship with your dog – ALL of our programs deliberately incorporate relationship building ! – This is one of the key areas of Dog Training that is often overlooked
- While training dogs is our full-time concern, we take only a limited number of clients, to assure that we can devote all the time needed to solving your dog’s problems, and can fully support you after your program is completed.
- For peace of mind, all of our programs offer at least 6-months support in case you need some fine tuning, or need anything explained again, or if something comes up and you feel unsure of how to handle it.
- Remember, we also can customise a plan if you don’t see one that fits your needs.
Good Dog Foundation Program
Picture your dog listening to you, and finally the frustration has slipped away.
Our signature and most popular program, if you are after proper reliable dog obedience and/or your dog has a number (if not a laundry list) of issues, including holding a stay around distractions, then this is your program.
Problems like lite (Light) reactivity/aggression, pushiness, not listening and anxiety can also be resolved in this program.
We can do this in four lessons conducted at your home, where one of which may be in a park or around the neighborhood.
- At least 4 commands are taught in the sessions.
- 4 x Lessons (approx. 1.5 hrs each)
- Good behaviour shaping is included – eg. Wait at door / threshold, don’t jump on the couch. This teaches good manners and reinforces leadership.
- Solving Low to Moderate behavior issues – eg. Jumping / lunging, Barking, Pulling on leash, some dog / human aggression / reactivity.
- A training journal is included so that you can keep track of the training. Included are instructions for getting the most out of the Journal and development advice. Our clients love keeping track of their progress with this.
- Priority on Boarding stays
- Easy to follow, written, step-by-step instructions to reinforce the training and for later reference
- Unlimited support via email, text, or phone for the life of the dog, we are in your corner and always there to help
- Free Black Dog Halter or Training Collar included

Good Dog Enhanced Foundation Program
Envy of the neighbors; do you want people to say, “I wish my dog would do that!”
All the benefits of the Good Dog foundation program above, but some of the issue(s) seems to be more stubourn ?
You might be looking for a higher level of reliability or heavier distractions, along with an introduction to off-leash obedience, then this is for you. Your dog will behave around your food, your belongings, and distractions.
Bonus 1: Crate training can also be included in this program for no extra cost.
Bonus 2: Your choice of “Away” – tells the dog to take a few steps away from you
or “Place” – the dog will stay on their bed or mat.
The program is conducted over five sessions, at least one lesson is conducted outside of the home. eg. park or neighborhood walk.
